About ArcRelay

An independent software team focused on local-first device collaboration, private-network tools and clear, restrained software experiences.

Start with the things that should not feel this difficult

A file is on the other device. A screenshot only needs one more note. Two computers already share a network, yet connecting still takes a detour. ArcRelay starts with these ordinary moments and makes focused device software that is easier to understand.

We are an independent software team working on local-first collaboration, private-network tools and open engineering. We think through permissions, data paths and product boundaries first, then fold the remaining complexity into an interface that feels natural.

Three focused products

Product Primary job Current direction
ArcRelay Suite Cross-device input, content relay and trusted collaboration Open-source desktop app; first release taking shape
SubnetDesk Direct remote desktop across LANs, private links and VPNs Released standalone product
Sniptra Capture, annotation, local OCR and pinned images Included in ArcRelay; standalone release planned

They share a brand, but they do not need to grow at the same pace. Maturity, installation and platform support vary, so each product page and official release remains the source of truth.

What matters to us

  • Local first: if a task can stay on your device or a network you control, it should not need a cloud detour.
  • Visible boundaries: identity, permissions and data paths should not disappear behind the interface.
  • Cross-platform, without pretending every platform is identical: support different devices and explain the differences honestly.
  • Built to be maintained: work openly where it helps and leave room to care for the software years from now.

Use feature documentation to find capabilities and limitations by product or keyword. Read our product principles for the decisions behind them.

Public projects and engineering work will be organized under our GitHub organization. Prices, dates and platform support are only commitments once they are formally announced.
